Mario should be ok to finish off Rabbid Kong on this platform - just make sure he has the health to survive if Rabbid Kong isn’t finished in one turn.
Send Mario over to the panel, and then have your other heroes fire away, and then head to the cover on the opposite side of the platform. Once the Hoppers are gone, it’s time to repeat the process. You can have someone like Mario Jump Attack close - but not directly onto - the next banana panel, just make sure the bounce wave won’t send him into a pit. Then you can focus on taking out the two Hoppers with a combination of dash and jump attacks before falling back into cover - and since the Hoppers themselves aren’t in cover, they won’t be able to flee. Keep your team in cover and the third hero just out of the middle platform until after Rabbid Kong launches his next bounce wave. The grate that Rabbid Kong's bananas are on blocks any movement up to him, meaning you can't perform any movement based attacks, or use weapons like Mario's Hammer or Peach's Sentry to reach him.Īs the second phase starts, two Garden Hoppers will be summoned in front of your platform. Thankfully, the wave only targets the middle platform, so your hero on the switch will be ok. This is because as soon as you have the person closest to Rabbid Kong deal the final shot, Rabbid Kong will jump from the platform and reappear over on the left side of the map, and summon another bounce wave that can send your allies tumbling out of bounds if you aren’t prepared to defend against this new angle of attack. You’ll also want to shoot and then move your other heroes into cover on the right side of the unbreakable blocks. Your aim is to take him down before he can grab whoever steps on the panel and deals 50 damage to them. You can have Rabbid Luigi dash the one on the right and move to the center while activating Barrier to negate Rabbid Kong’s next attack, while having your other heroes dash and Jump Attack the other two Ziggies, and at least one other hero should Team Jump into cover, and ensure all Ziggies are defeated by the time Rabbid Kong fires his next wave.Įven if you can reach the banana panel on the first turn, it’s better if you wait until a turn you can reach it and unload all of your weaponry on Rabbid Kong. Don’t bother attacking Rabbid Kong just yet - he’ll just eat his bananas and regain his health, so instead focus on the three Garden Ziggies.
